This can happen to anyone on Twitter. But the Vice President has a long history of being, well, long, when it comes to his speeches. So he should be especially mindful of length. I’m alway asked by my clients “TJ, how long should my speech be?” My answer is “as long as it takes to communicate messages that are important to you and your audience in an interesting and memorable way.” That might be 2 minutes or it might be 20 hours. However, when you are speaking on a platform with many other speakers and things are running way over schedule, you will do yourself and everyone else a huge service by shortening your allotted time to help get things back on schedule.
From Twitter: As Biden continues to talk half-hour beyond planned ending of rally, some of the crowd quietly streams out.
