Top Ten Reasons Newt Gingrich Will Flame Out Like A Napalm Birthday Candle
Posted by TJ Walker in Analysis, Audio, Government & Politics, Politics on November 18, 2011
This Gingrich as flavor of the month is going to be fun, really fun! Republicans, if you are trying to figure out how Democrats feel right now, imagine how you would feel if the Democrats nominated a ticket of Al Sharpton and John Edwards, or Ted Kennedy’s corpse and Willie Horton.
It Turns out, John Edwards IS the Baby’s Daddy

It may seem silly or embarrassing to say this now, but I was once an admirer of John Edwards’ ability to give a speech and communicate. Whatever good will he once had has now been so thoroughly destroyed I don’t know how he ever returns to public life–even in an appointed position. For years Edwards denied having an affair. When caught, he finally admitted it was true. Then for years he denied having a child with his girlfriend. Now that the person who was is alibi is about to reveal that Edwards is, in fact, th father, Edwards now admits that he was lying all along and that it is his child. The problem now is that anyone can accuse Edwards of anything, say shooting JFK, and it fits into a paradigm where he denies it and then we anticipate him being found guilty months or years later. At some point you become some a comical character than nothing you say or do can stop people form laughing at you. Then, all potential for effectiveness is lost. I hate to pile on with the cheap shots, but I’m afraid John Edwards biggest opportunity in the future may be as a TV spokesman for a men’s hair color product.
Great Speakers Never Keep Their Audience Waiting

Edwards Gets Demerits for Tardiness on the Trail –Headline from NY TimesÂ
John Edwards may be a compelling speaker (I think so), but he does himself a tremendous disservice by showing up late to most of his audiences. Here is an article from last week’s New York Times lambasting Edwards for showing up, on average, 45 minutes late to every speaking appearance in
Iowa. Great speakers understand and respect the psychological mood of their audiences. And keeping an audience waiting for more than 5 minutes is a great way to put an audience in a lousy mood. My advice: do WHATEVER it takes to start and end your speeches on time. This is one skill that George Bush (whatever you think of his modest speaking skills) learned to master a long time ago.
