The NYTimes reports that HP’s Pr firm made a strong case for sacking CEO Mark Hurd. From a PR standpoint, the media mess would not have been worth the fight to defend Hurd, never mind that no actual sex took place in the “affair.” It looks like bad news for HP investors is at least good news for the PR industry being taken more seriously.
Forbes announces that some of its bloggers will be paid based on page views. While I do believe in using metrics and holding people accountable, I think we can safely predict a rise in the number of stories with titles such as “Is Megan Fox a rising twitter star?” and “The economics of Brittany Spears naked photos on her fan page.”
