Joe Biden Overcame a Stutter
I thought I had been a close observer of politics for the last 30 years, so I was shocked to learn today that Sen. Joe Biden suffered from stuttering, not only as a kid, but even as a college student. Biden’s hometown newspaper today discusses how Biden successfully received speech therapy in college. I doubt Biden is going to win, place or show in tonight’s Iowa Caucuses. The fact that Biden went from being a stutter in his earlier 20s to getting elected a US Senator at age 29 is a testament not only to Biden’s resolve, but to the power of the speech therapy establishment as well.
