Commentator Marc Lamont Hill says New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is too fat to be President?
Is Hill right? I predicted, incorrectly, that Christie was too fat to get elected to statewide office last year. But running for President is a different issue. America voters have shown little tolerance for fat presidential candidates since the era of Television. (Yes, Clinton was a little chubby in 1992, but he never had a double chin and at 6 feet three inches tall, he carried has weight well) A 300 pound President Taft is hard to imagine these days. Some will accuse me and Hill for being unfair or even mean for pointing out how Christie’s blubber might harm his presidential potential, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t accurate analysis.
