I think the Teleprompter is working for him—the benefits far outweigh the drawbacks. I think he can continue to improve, by adding occasional eye contact with people in the audience. But the one thing he shouldn’t do is to stop using it because of a couple of critical stories. The public doesn’t care about the process when they like the results—articulate speech, in contrast to the embarrassment of Bush fumbling around at the lectern.
